“Pick and roll” is a basketball term used to describe the action of a teammate setting a screen (blocking the defender’s lane), and then “rolling” off the defender to receive a pass from his teammate. Travis metaphorically receives a pass from Drake, as the beat cuts out and Travis takes over. Travis' hometown team, the Houston Rockets , is especially known for excellent pick and roll plays.
