Eminem started heavily fusing rap with rock back on The Eminem Show (although that definitely wasn’t the first time he did it). He does the same thing on MMLP2, with most notable examples being “Rhyme or Reason” (where he samples The Zombies), “Love Game” (with yet another sample of a classic rock tune), and “Berzerk” (which samples Billy Squier’s The Stroke ). Rock is also slang for crack cocaine. This could be a slight hint at days of drug usage.
