A Soprano is a female with the highest possible vocal range of any singer. “Soprano C” is one of the highest notes any singer can hit. Keeping with the sexual theme of the verse, the “high note” is a woman’s climax or orgasm. A C-Note is slang for $100—the highest value of denomination currently in production in the United States. This is also a play on the popular phrase, “Keep it 100,” which means to “keep it real.” Coincidentally, Kendrick has two songs on his critically acclaimed 2015 album, To Pimp a Butterfly, titled “u” and “i.”
