Getting ‘faded’ is also slang for being under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Em has a notorious history with drug abuse, and his haters are waiting for him to “fall off” and return to his ‘old self’, a time when he used drugs frequently. However, Em states that they will be “forever waiting” because he will never return to his old habits.
