This line pays homage to pioneering female emcee Foxy Brown’s debut album ‘Ill Na Na’ which became the first female rap album to ever hit the Top 10 on the Billboard 200 in November 1996. (Minaj has credited Brown throughout the years with inspiring her to pursue her own rap career as both were raised in the outer boroughs of New York City and share Trinidadian heritage.
