The key here is the double entendre of “spit on his mic.” On the one hand, a good rapper is said to “spit lyrics” into a mic, and on the other hand, in a song largely constructed around sex, “mic” would be a euphemism for a penis. Simultaneously, Cardi B is bragging about her rap game and implying that her oral skills are so good that she could get a way into a label contract if she wanted to. It’s interesting to note the empowering aspect of this line as well, with Cardi bragging about sleeping her way to the top when that accusation is often used to belittle women who achieve success and dismiss their skill.
