What is the meaning behind “I haven’t seen my mother in a long, long time”?

Lana has always had a disdain for her mother, Patricia Ann Hill since she was a small child. Although the reason is unknown, rumor has it that Lana’s mother abandoned her when she was a child in order to start a new family. Her use of songs to criticize her mother has increased over the years, and some of them are in accordance with these lines and are highly remiscent of Lana’s earlier body of work, particularly her January 2006 song, “My Momma” : Me and my momma, we don’t get along In her May 2021 song, “Wildflower Wildfire,” Lana explores both her past and her most vulnerable emotions: My father never stepped in when his wife would rage at me So I ended up awkward but sweet In her October 2021 song, “Black bathing suit” she stated: I’m not friends with my mother but still love my dad In essence, the lyrics' negative connotations against her mother and the way they refer to her as “my father’s wife” point to a tense family bond. Also, in 2021, Lana also acknowledged on a now-deleted Tweet that Mother’s Day is difficult for a myriad of reasons, including traumas, disappointments of not being a mother, and rifts with blood mothers.
