Eminem jokes that he became incredibly successful simply because he uses a lot of F-bombs in his raps (bombs literally blow up). This may be mocking the listeners who only paid attention to his vulgar lyrics without listening to the message of his songs. Nevertheless, it is undeniable how much of his rise to fame in the early days was based off his controversy and potty mouth. He even made a joke out of it in a line from “Remember Me?” —which he references in the beginning of this song. I’m tryin' to clean up my fuckin' image So I promised the fuckin' critics I wouldn’t say “fuckin'” for six minutes By using the word three times in the middle of a promise to not use the word, he shows that he is well aware of the popularity that his prolific use of the F-word has brought him. Perhaps it is just because Aftermath is easily used as a double entendre, but it could be a reference to a Dr. Dre line in “I Need A Doctor” with similar sentiments, where the f-word, “wrath” and “Aftermath” are used closely: Now you bout to feel the fucking wrath of Aftermath, faggots
