The Lewinsky Scandal was a political sex scandal between the then-President of the United States, Bill Clinton , and White House intern Monica Lewinsky . It occurred around 1995-97, but was not uncovered until 1998. The scandal gained a lot of press coverage. Clinton was impeached for lying about it, but he was acquitted by the Senate. Eminem made many references to the incident on his earlier albums. In fact, his Clinton references date back to The Slim Shady LP on “Role Model” , on The Marshall Mathers LP on “Who Knew” , and in the video for Eminem’s first hit single, “My Name Is” .
