Crystal balls usually warn people of the dangers to come, much like Kendrick warns rappers not to mess with him or they may suffer the same fate as the those in the previous line. Pretty fucking prescient of K-dot, really, a year before he shook the hip-hop world with similar words on his “Control” verse. Was he planning on shaking up the rap game way ahead of time?
