Cooking dope in a pot to sell—a.k.a. “trapping” —is a key element to trap music. The money that can be made from trapping links to the next line, where Offset remembers selling dope to get by when he had nothing. It also possibly refers to a time Offset’s stove broke and he was forced to cook up dope in his mother’s crockpot , but thus far this story is not substantiated, and there is some doubt as to whether or not it is possible to cook crack in a crock pot at all.
