Armand de Brignac is a high-end champagne more commonly known as “Ace of Spades” thanks to their logo. Jay Z featured a bottle in his music video for “Show Me What You Got” in 2006. Previously, Jay had been a strong advocate for Cristal in his lyrics, but when their managing director made some disparaging comments about the champagne’s inclusion in hip-hop, Jay ended his support. In his 2009 song “On To The Next One” he even rapped: I used to drink Cristal, the muh'fucker’s racist So I switched gold bottles on to that Spade shit Since he split with Cristal, Armand de Brignac controversially became his champagne of choice, and he eventually bought the company outright in November of 2014. His “gangster wife” Beyonce has even taken to promoting it, causing an uproar when she dumped a bottle of it into a bathtub in her and Nicki Minaj ’s music video for “Feeling Myself.”
