Kendrick’s giving himself a creative nickname, but it’s unclear if he’s using it to: ol li Brag about the money he has. To regular people a Mercedes Benz is a huge investment, but for him it’s inconsequential. li Show how anti-materialistic he is. Who cares about a Benz—it’s just a car! The staccato delivery of this line (continued over the following two) is worth noting. He peppers the syllables in an almost child-like rhythm which is simultaneously ‘sing-song’ and very, very direct—almost machine-gun like. Kendrick doesn’t do drugs either, so a Benz to him isn’t a benzodiazepine (benz, benzo) but a car.
