A “bag” is slang for money. When Cardi B was on Love and Hip Hop in 2016, she started making serious money — and dropped a big chunk of it getting her crooked teeth fixed with a full set of porcelain veneers. The procedure typically costs $2-3k per tooth, so the bag for Cardi‘s “smile makeover” was $40-60k. Prior to that dental work, Cardi was severely bullied on social media for her imperfect teeth, which she parodied in the video for her song “Foreva” . Cardi’s veneers were done by Dr. Catrise Austin, an esteemed dentist who, in 2015, made it to Dental Products Report’s “Top 25 Women in Dentistry” list.
