D'USSÉ is a Bacardi -produced line of cognac that Hov is a part-owner of and endorses, and helped launch back in 2012. He uses its homophone “do say” as a play on words, likely inspired by the fact that he was drinking it while recording this verse; and as “a business, man” he is of course looking to promote his interests to the public. D'USSÉ comes in a 750mL bottle that retails for around $50. It is described on the website as a “distinctively bold, yet remarkably smooth Cognac,” handcrafted in one of the oldest cognac houses, Château de Cognac, in France. With Hov’s powerful profile behind it, D'USSÉ has quickly cut its way into the lucrative cognac market and been shouted out by many other artists.
