Verily, Em’s haters and bitch-made competitors will rejoice the day he retires. Notice how in lines like this, the flow is a bit irregular. Often, when planning a “fast rap” song, the temptation is just to craft the lyrics to be very rhythmic and pattern-based, so they’re easier to navigate. For instance, the first ever fast-rap song is almost entirely in iambs (“we HOLD our HONon AND our PRIDE / just TAKE a STEP and KEPT in STRIDE” etc.) Em doesn’t take the easy way out, though!
